Welcome to the parish of Cumnor in west Oxford. Four miles from the centre of Oxford we stand on the boundary of the city, combining suburban convenience, village community life and wonderful countryside. Our three churches each serve their local neighbourhoods: Cumnor, Dean Court and Farmoor. Our congregations are diverse communities united in faith, love and practical action. We would love to welcome you among us.
Beating the Bounds
There are 25 miles of boundaries around this parish and each year we try to walk about four of them. This year on Sunday 28th April, we will start at 2.30 pm at Car Park 4 of Youlbury Scout Camp on Boars Hill and walk down through the bluebell woods, across the farmland of Henwood, to the hamlet of Besselsleigh. Our guide will be Prof. Bob Evans of Oxford University, who will show us how to mark the boundary and how to pass on the knowledge to the next generation.
All are welcome - bring stout shoes and a picnic tea.
